Integration Overview

The Sparelane sandbox models a merchant integration without real money movement.

The core flow is:

  1. The merchant authenticates with a sandbox API key.
  2. The merchant creates or finds a merchant-scoped customer.
  3. The merchant creates a link authorisation for that customer.
  4. The consumer separately authenticates with Sparelane and explicitly approves linking and mandates.
  5. The merchant submits a fictional bill.
  6. The merchant runs a deterministic sandbox simulation.
  7. The merchant reads payment status and receives fictional webhook events.

Merchant credentials never grant consumer consent. They also cannot create consumer payment methods or approve mandates.

Current Scope

Implemented merchant-facing sandbox capabilities are documented in the API reference and Postman collection. Production onboarding, live payment processing, service-level guarantees and compliance attestations are not part of this sandbox release.
