Payment Lifecycle

Sandbox payments are created by deterministic simulation, not by an external payment provider.

A payment may include one or more attempts. Each attempt records the actual fictional payment method used and its outcome.

Payment and bill status are merchant-scoped. Merchants cannot read bills or payments that belong to another merchant.
